The European Data Protection Supervisor Found PNR Safeguards Sufficient
The opinion of the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) of 18 September 2026, the full text of which is available in the Judykatura database, concerns the proposed EU agreement with the Republic of Korea on the transfer of PNR data. The EDPS concluded that the data protection mechanisms provided for in the Agreement are sufficient to ensure compliance with the EU data protection framework.
