The European Data Protection Supervisor restricted road-data exchange
The Opinion of the European Data Protection Supervisor of 8 May 2008, the full text of which is available in our Judykatura database, sets limits on the proposed system for cross-border exchange of road traffic offence data. The Supervisor accepted the purpose of the exchange but excluded the creation of a central database and the linking of the infrastructure used with other databases without a clear and justified basis.
