The Irish Data Protection Authority imposed a €645,000 fine on the public health service

The full text of the decision in the Judykatura database sets out the findings concerning the protection of paper medical records stored outside public health service premises. The Irish Data Protection Authority found that inadequate storage conditions infringed both the security of processing requirement and the storage limitation principle.
