The Austrian Federal Administrative Court questioned unrestricted disclosure of donor data
The case raises the limits of transparency in party financing where public information about a donation also reveals a donor’s possible political opinions. The full text of the order in the Judykatura database sets out the court’s reasoning in its application for constitutional review of provisions requiring publication of those data. The Austrian Federal Administrative Court did not yet determine the complaint on its merits, but referred an application to the Constitutional Court seeking the repeal of the challenged provisions.
