The Latvian Data State Inspectorate imposed a €300 fine on a pharmacy assistant
The full text of the decision in the Judykatura database shows how the authority distinguished lawful pharmaceutical assistance from private use of professional access to health data. The Latvian Data State Inspectorate found that access to an e-health system may also cover checking prescription status or information on medicines, but only where it remains connected with pharmaceutical care.
